Vertex connection and merging: image comparison

Below we compare the images of four different scenes produced by three global illumination algorithms after 30 minutes of rendering against a high quality 24-hour reference image: stochastic progressive photon mapping (PPM), bidirectional path tracing (BPT), and vertex connection and merging (VCM).
